TISA MUSIC SCHOOL
In TISA Music School we instill in children a love for music, provide comprehensive musical education, and nurture the talent of each child in this field.
  • Instilling a Love for Music and Cultivating Musical Taste
At TISA school, we prioritize fostering a love for music and cultivating a refined musical taste among our students. We believe that appreciation for diverse musical genres and styles enriches their cultural understanding and emotional intelligence.
  • Empowering Students to Compose Music, be creative and express themselves
Our students have the opportunity to explore their creativity by composing music and expressing themselves through musical compositions. This not only encourages artistic expression but also enhances their confidence and self-esteem.
  • Comprehensive Music Education Program
Our students receive a comprehensive and systematic music education program, which includes solfeggio, choir, and instrumental training. Through a structured curriculum, they develop fundamental skills in music theory, vocal techniques, and instrumental proficiency.
  • Concerts, and Performances on stage
Throughout the year, we organize four concerts within the school premises, providing students with a platform to showcase their musical talents. Additionally, we participate in competitions and performances in theaters, offering students valuable opportunities for artistic growth and exposure to diverse audiences.

Music influences academic achievements

Research conducted by the University of Nijmegen in the Netherlands and the University of Wisconsin provides compelling evidence that music education positively influences brain development and academic performance. According to a study published in the Journal of Educational Psychology, students who participate in music programs consistently outperform their peers in standardized tests, with notable improvements in subjects such as mathematics and language arts. Your child may not become a musician, but early musical development will have a great impact on academic performance in various subjects.

Moreover, the acceptance of the concept of musical intelligence, as proposed by psychologist Howard Gardner, underscores the importance of music education in cognitive development. Gardner's theory suggests that individuals possess varying forms of intelligence, one of which is musical intelligence, highlighting the significance of musical activities in fostering cognitive growth.

Furthermore, engaging in activities such as playing musical instruments enhances both motor skills and brain function. Research from the University of Zurich reveals that children who receive instrumental training exhibit increased activation in areas of the brain associated with motor control and auditory processing. This not only improves their dexterity and coordination but also enhances their overall cognitive abilities, leading to enhanced academic performance.

HOW TO JOIN
There are two options
FOR TISA STUDENTS
Music education at Tisa is an essential part of the academic curriculum for all students and includes early musical development and rhythm, choir, solfeggio and music listening.
  • Playing a musical instrument is possible for children 3-6 years old (by parent request and successfully passing an audition).

From the age of 3, we recommend starting to play the piano, flute, violin and ukulele. At a later age, other instruments may be chosen.

From the age of 7, students can choose to play a musical instrument as part of the professional track - CAD.

  • If a child has been studying in the instrumental department since the age of 3 and chooses a STEM track at the age of 7, then the child can continue to attend classes on playing the instrument (extra costs).
FOR OTHER CHILDREN
Children who are not students of the TISA school can join our music school after passing auditions from the age of 3.
