TISA SUMMER CAMP is an opportunity for children to develop the 21st century skills that any student needs for successful learning and career in the future.

We invite children aged 5-12 to participate.
All students are divided into groups according to age and grade at school - age 5-6, age 7-8, age 9-12.

Week 1-2 (July 1-5, 8-12)
Space
  • Сhildren will learn to program in Minecraftedu Special characters in the game world;
  • Learn to program in Scratch and create their cartoons, animations, games (for example, space races, a labyrinth);
  • Use Scratch's built-in graphics editor to create game backgrounds and characters.

Robotics
  • Сhildren will invent and assemble 5 different space-time mechanisms using Lego Spike Essential/prime and program them.
Projects
Week 1: Children will complete a project: creating an animation of a rocket launching into space from the ground.
Week 2: Children will create a game with their own plot and characters that are controlled using the keyboard.
GRAPHIC DESIGN
Week 3 (July 15-19)
The students will learn:
  • Basic Canva skills
  • Basic Computer Literacy skills
  • How to make a presentation
  • How to generate creative ideas

Project:
Creating a cover design for your favourite book/creating a mini-poster with your favourite characters.
3D MODELLING
Week 4 (July 22-26)
The students will learn how to:
  • Model and prototype 3D objects in the Tinkercad program
  • Create products using a 3D pen
  • Draw and make out of paper geometric shapes
  • Use the "morphological box" method to generate ideas

Project:
A 3D model of the project in the Tinkercad app.
Practical Application:
Children will try a new skill which will help them prototype and visualise their ideas.
CREATE A CARTOON
Week 5 (July 29 - August 2)
The students will be able to:
  • Write scripts for short cartoons
  • Create different characters using play-doh or different materials
  • Use basic software for creating videos
  • Create voice-overs
  • Use the technique of storytelling

Project:
A cartoon made using the stop-motion technique.
ART - DUTCH MASTERS
Week 6 (August 5-9)
The students will learn :
  • About the history of art
  • About 5 Dutch artists: Rembrandt Harmensz van Rijn, Vincent van Gogh, Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan, Adriaen de Vries, Jan Vermeer
  • How to work with different materials
  • How to draw and make creative crafts using five materials: water, stained glass, paper, batik, and sculpture clay

Project:
A presentation of a creative portfolio.
PROGRAMMING AND SPACE
Week 1-2 (July 1-5, 8-12)
Space
The students will learn how to:
  • Create games using programming in Scratch: star ping-pong, space battles, Google dinosaur
  • Create game menus for games
  • Use various graphic editors to create backgrounds and characters for games

Robotics
  • Сhildren will invent and assemble 5 different space-time mechanisms using Lego Spike Essential/Prime and program them.
Projects
Week 1: Children will create their game, the plot of which is related to solving garbage problem in space.

Week 2: Children will create a model of a space station to explore the natural satellite of the Earth (animation).

Week 3-4 (July 15-19, 22-26)
The students will be able to:
  • Write scripts for short cartoons
  • Create different characters using play-doh or different materials
  • Use basic software for creating videos
  • Create voice-overs
  • Use the technique of storytelling

Week 5 (July 29 - August 2)
The students will learn :
  • About the history of art

ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPEDITION
Week 6 (August 5 - 9)
The students will learn :
  • How to make systematic and creative notes
  • How to create the world overview using a timeline
  • How to make a large project using 2 posters.
The world feed includes all civilizations of the Ancient World, medieval Byzantium, and Europe.

Practical application:
The course will immerse children in the world of archaeological research and develop interest in the study of history.
PROGRAMMING AND SPACE
Week 1-2 (July 1-5, 8-12)
Space
The students will learn:
  • The basics of the Python programming language
  • What is a “chatbot” and how to create simple models of chatbots
  • How to use programs to write and run code in Python

Robotics
  • Сhildren will invent and assemble 5 different space-time mechanisms using Lego Spike Essential/Prime and program them
Projects
Week 1: Children will create a model of a chatbot that will serve as a reference book about space.

Week 2: Children will partially complete the task of programming space satellite sensors.

ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXPEDITION
Week 6 (August 5 - 9)
The students will learn:
  • About the myths of ancient Greece and the Field Season in Ancient Greece, Italy, Iraq, Crete
  • How to make systematic and creative notes
  • How real archaeological excavations are carried out
  • How to make an interactive folder that will contain facts about archaeology
  • How to mark the excavation sites on the map, get acquainted with archaeologists and civilizations, and analyze the finds.

Practical application:
The course will immerse children in the world of archaeological research and develop interest in the study of history.

Make fire with a fire bow, hand drill, firesteel, tinder and char cloth.
