Theodore International Startup Academy
TISA is a new innovative school for kids in Leiden.
The school year starts on August 22 (for 4-7 y.o. kids).

Our mission:
By using modern teaching methods, we support the natural talent of each child and develop 21st-century skills for a successful future.
WE ARE NOT LIKE OTHER SCHOOLS
From February 11, the Theodore International Startup Academy (TISA)* is a Candidate School** for the Primary Years Programme (PYP).
This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy — a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that TISA believes is important for our students.
*School final documentation is under development. Information on this website may be updated.
**Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). PROFESSIONAL TRACKS
We offer a unique opportunity to start developing professional competencies from an early age:
  1. Students attend workshops on various topics and choose a professional track (STEM or CAD);
  2. We design an individual educational path for each student based on interests, talent, and needs;
  3. Students enroll in the track and start attending special classes. We bind subjects in the track to develop skills and competencies:
TRACK 1 — STEM
Science, Robotics, 3D Modeling and Prototyping, Programming, Inventor Lab, Advanced Math
TRACK 2 — CAD
Arts, Music (Choir, Solfedjio, Instrument), Graphic Design, Industry Design, Creative Writing, Drama
AFTERSCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Social Games, Workshops, Tours and Field Trips*

* we provide a wide range of co-curricular activities, including regular field trips to museums, farms, production and historical places that are linked to the curriculum. The workshops include cooking, experiments, etc.
AFTER SCHOOL CARE
After School Care is the alternative for students to spend time after the core programme and is open from 15:00 to 19:00 every working day.

TISA Open Day is a big celebration!
During just a few hours kids have an opportunity to participate in amazing workshops and get a little taste of the school, while parents learn about our school concept, educational programme, teaching methods and other interesting things about TISA.

ART WORKSHOP
Join our art workshop to draw a picture of a reindeer profile on a snowy landscape using a cold colour scale! 🎨 After the workshop you will be able to distinguish between different plans, draw profile pictures, understand the concept of cold colours and mix new colours!

Do you think that -20 degrees celsius is cold? How about -80! ☃️ And there is a substance that will disappear if you do not store it under -80 degrees. What is it? Come to our cryo show to learn all about it and participate in some interesting science experiments!
