What are the tuition fees at TISA Leiden?

Annual tuition is €9,800 for the 2024-2025 academic year, paid monthly in advance. A €500 registration deposit is required to hold a place, and a 10% sibling discount applies for each additional child.

Is there a waiting list, and how competitive is admission?

Admission is highly competitive due to a large number of applications, so we encourage families to apply early. Once you've toured the campus and met the Admissions Team, your spot is held for two weeks while you review and sign the School Fee Agreement.

What language is TISA taught in?

English is the primary language of instruction. Dutch is taught daily by native speakers, meeting national standards and helping students integrate into Dutch society. English Language Support (ELS) is available for non-native English speakers.

Why choose an international school over a Dutch school?

TISA delivers the IB Primary Years Programme — an internationally recognised, inquiry-based curriculum — fully in English, alongside daily Dutch lessons, an entrepreneurial MBA-for-kids track, and STEAM/Creative Arts programmes. Families relocating to Leiden get an English-medium education their child can continue anywhere in the world, while still building Dutch language skills.

What ages does TISA accept, and what curriculum do you follow?

TISA is an IB World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students ages 3–12, combining inquiry-based academics with an entrepreneurship track and STEAM/Creative Arts.

What are the school hours, and is after-school care available?

The Leiden campus is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 18:30. After-School Care runs from 15:00 to 19:00 every working day, with social games, creative workshops, cooking, experiments, and field trips linked to the curriculum.

When can we start, and when does the school year begin?

Applications are accepted year-round. The school year runs from September through mid-July, and we recommend applying at least 3 months before your intended start date.
